Sautter, Germany; potato peeling line MS-1T

Sautter

The Sautter family runs a potato processing  company in Borndorf near Stuttgart in south-west Germany. Sautter started using a Sormac processing line with e.g. a MS-1T knife peeler for peeling their potatoes. Irene Sautter is delighted with the new line. “Knife-peeled potatoes not only look better, they keep for longer too. And our customers really appreciate that. And the fact that we’ve been able to cut our water consumption too is a major bonus!”

The new knife peeler has been given a home in a new production hall the Sautter family had built recently. “The new production environment meets the highest standards of hygiene. So we wanted a fully enclosed peeling system,” Irene Sautter explains. “We didn’t want peelings or potatoes falling on the floor. Sormac met these requirements and came up with an excellent solution for our waste problem which we are very happy with.”
