Flotation de-stoner
Flotation de-stoner covering a wide range of products such as potatoes, carrots, celeriac and red beets.
Operating principle
The flotation de-stoner FO-90 is used in the processing of root crops such as potatoes, celeriac, carrots and red beetroot.
The de-stoner removes stones and other heavy particles out off the product, resulting in a less aggressive process, which subsequently ensures minimum product damage, and less wear and tear to the processing equipment.
The principal of operation is to pump the water upwards creating a supporting flume. The product to be de-stoned is transported across the top of the upward water flow and carried forward to the discharge side. Heavy particles such as stones and other materials of dense characteristics sink away allowing the free passage of the product.
The machine is equipped with large clean-out panels on both sides to facilitate very easy cleaning.

Product specification
With the flotation de-stoner FO-90 products like potatoes, celeriac, red beets and carrots with a diameter of max. 150 mm are processed.

The capacity of the machine depends on the size of the product, and can be max. 5 tons/hour.
