Freeze Pack, USA; 4 onion peeling lines
At the United FreshTech 2007 in Palm Springs, Freeze Pack got to know Sormac and the revolutionary onion peeler USM-X100. They were so impressed by this machine that an order was placed straight away for no fewer than four units!
The USM-X100 singulates and peels onions at a capacity of 100 pieces per minute. The main parameters of the machine can be easily set using a number of hand wheels, even if the machine is operating! This makes for a quick conversion of the machine to suit other sizes of onions.
But the USM-X100 has even more winning features:
* energy efficient, not in the least place thanks to the application of Sormac's patented air saving technique : the blast of air that blows the skin from the onion is deactivated if the system detects an empty pocket
